This journal emerged with a strong vocation to become a vehicle for studies carried out on both the medical aspects of the cinema and a cinematographic analysis of films with medical contents. Since its very inception, our aim has been to offer a Journal of Medicine and a Journal of Cinema: a meeting point for health professionals and those involved in the analysis of cinematographic communication within the framework of the dissemination of knowledge and education.
This issue offers an analysis of health -based films and bears the collaboration of professionals from both Universities in Salamanca. Professors Pedro Sangro Colón and Miguel Angel Huerta Floriano, from the School of Communications of the Pontifical University of Salamanca, are the invited Editors in this issue, which is wholly devoted to The Cinema and Psychoanalysis.
Pedro Sangro Colón is author of Lenguaje y Narrativa Audiovisual, Producción y Realización Audiovisual and Narrativa Audiovisual and Miguel Angel Huerta Floriano is an instructor in Cinematographic Genres and the Aesthetics of the Cinema and is a film critic. Both are authors of many books and articles within their speciality.
Journal of Medicine and Movies would like to thank both for their contributions to the present issue.
