To mark the centenary of the death of Robert Koch (27 May 2010), and given the fact that tuberculosis is still a hot topic as far as health issues are concerned, both in developed countries and in developing ones, last year the editorial committee of the Journal of Medicine and Movies decided to issue a monographic about tuberculosis in movies. The format of an alphabetically ordered index was chosen and its creation was entrusted to the editors of the journal. Problems soon arose due to the high number of films gathered, because of which an agreement to split it into two issues was reached.
